Dr. Rohrbach’s Research Interests

Dr. Rohrbach's primary research interests focus on community-based interventions for disease prevention and health promotion. Her research concentrates on interventions for prevention of tobacco, alcohol, and other drug abuse. She conducts studies in three main areas, including etiology of adolescent substance abuse, theory-based evaluation of prevention programs, and diffusion of effective prevention interventions. Currently, she is conducting an evaluation of the California tobacco control program, an assessment of gender differences in predictors of adolescent substance abuse, and an intervention trial of substance abuse prevention approaches for late childhood.
